COLiBRI is opening its Stakeholder Community to everyone with a stake in the future of plant breeding in Europe.
The project brings together actors from across the plant breeding value chain – genetic resources collections, public research organisations, research infrastructures, private breeders, farmer organisations, end-users, policymakers and funders. Together, we are assessing priorities, gaps and opportunities for plant breeding research and innovation (R&I) in the EU, covering all farming systems and approaches.
Stakeholders are invited to help co-create a strategic roadmap, an implementation plan and a governance framework for a coordinated European plant breeding R&I network and funding mechanism. Their participation will help shape how Europe responds to climate change, biodiversity loss, food and nutritional insecurity, and growing pressure on agricultural competitiveness.
By joining the Stakeholder Community, members can share their perspective, stay informed on the project's progress and be invited to consultations and co-creation activities as the project develops.
